PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
This role is situated within the Mobile Turbine/Rotating Department and is accountable for executing all general mechanical maintenance on power generation equipment.

The Mobile Turbine/Rotating team champions a culture of continuous enhancement by engaging in training, upholding standards, reporting and addressing unsafe or undesirable conditions, and employing the corrective action program.

This position typically necessitates 80% travel.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Exhibit proficient maintenance skills on steam or gas turbines, turbine valves, reactor feed pump turbines (RFPT), terry turbines, various pumps, and balance of plant (BOP) equipment in a safe and reliable manner using appropriate tools and equipment such as rigging, forklifts, and cranes.
- Conduct maintenance and repair tasks on plant machinery including pumps, gearboxes, fans, turbines, bearings, boilers, piping systems, valves, and limit torque operators (involves disassembly, part repair or replacement, and assembly) using sound technical judgment regarding maintenance on complex mechanical systems.
- Execute assigned responsibilities safely and efficiently under the guidance of Maintenance Management.
- Collaborate on cross-functional teams for major projects while adhering to maintenance conduct and established standards and practices.
- Implement work packages as assigned, commensurate with the level of training received.

- Coordinate activities with other plant personnel, workgroups, and vendors, including communication with station departments regarding the maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Utilize, review, and suggest modifications to procedures, technical manuals, and other documentation as necessary, as well as support the development of written troubleshooting plans to analyze equipment malfunctions and repair strategies.
- Interpret and comprehend power plant schematics.
- Provide technical assistance to plant operations, maintenance personnel, and engineering, consistent with the level of training received.
- Perform alignment on rotating machinery. Undertake fitting and welding tasks when qualified.
- Conduct verification checks on maintenance items covered in maintenance technician training.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's Degree in Power Plant Technology, Engineering Technology, or Electronics OR a High School Diploma with a minimum of months of trade or technical experience in Power Plant Technology or relevant field experience.
- Successfully complete the training requirements and time-in-job criteria for the position, including previously passing the MASS test.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Maintenance Technician II
- Associate's Degree in Power Plant Technology, Engineering Technology, or Electronics with a minimum of 18 months of trade or technical training in Power Plant Technology OR 3-5 years of experience in Maintenance Tech I or equivalent experience with trade or technical training in Power Plant Technology or relevant field experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Maintenance Technician III
- Associate's Degree in Power Plant Technology, Engineering Technology, or Electronics with a minimum of 3 years of trade or technical training in Power Plant Technology OR 5 years of experience in Maintenance Tech II or equivalent experience with trade or technical training in Power Plant Technology or relevant field experience.
- Previous supervisory experience and trade union experience (millwright or pipefitting) are preferred, along with welding qualifications and machinist experience.
