POSITION SUMMARY: As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational efficiency of production and facility equipment through effective installation, repair, and preventive maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues on production and facility machinery, utilizing electro-mechanical relay logic and PLC controls.
  • Perform basic machining tasks using maintenance shop equipment, including lathes and welding tools.
  • Maintain precise documentation in accordance with established recordkeeping protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with supervisors, fellow mechanics, and various production staff.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Uphold safety, quality, and regulatory standards, and proactively report any concerns or suggestions for improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong attendance record and positive work history.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Experience in plastic injection molding is preferred.
  • Proficient in interpreting electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics for equipment troubleshooting.
  • Must achieve a score of 42 or higher on the Bennett Mechanical Test.
  • Minimum of 5 years of mechanical experience in a production setting is preferred.
  • Possession of personal tools is required.
  • Forklift certification is necessary.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including walking, sitting, bending, climbing, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Capability to work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms.
  • Availability to work overtime as needed.
  • Commitment to performing all duties safely and effectively.
