Genesis10 is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with our client in the financial sector. This role is a contract position focused on ensuring the highest quality standards in software development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a subject matter expert on testing methodologies, ensuring that testing strategies and processes are clearly defined and continuously refined.
  • Develop a comprehensive test and automation strategy, including the creation of standardized test frameworks and management of test processes such as test data generation and defect tracking.
  • Instill a 'testing mindset' within teams, overseeing the testing and delivery of complex software requirements to achieve business objectives.
  • Enhance and streamline testing processes, including defect management and reporting.
  • Contribute to integrating quality assurance into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) by utilizing best practices and tools.
  • Formulate a test automation strategy across various application layers (UI, API, Backend, etc.).
  • Design and refine test automation frameworks and leverage automation tools effectively.
  • Establish and enforce enterprise testing standards to ensure compliance.
  • Lead test planning for intricate features that span multiple platforms or teams.
  • Optimize test suites using techniques such as risk-based testing.
  • Prepare and manage test data while ensuring compliance with data requirements across all testing environments.
  • Assist in identifying and managing sensitive test data.
  • Engage in triaging reported issues and assist in their resolution or escalation as necessary.
  • Maintain traceability throughout the testing process.
  • Track tests through the development lifecycle and back to requirements.
  • Utilize testing tools and adhere to processes to complete testing in designated environments, facilitating the necessary steps for code promotion.
  • Ensure alignment and obtain sign-off for test cases from business stakeholders.
  • Oversee test automation execution and address any issues that may lead to deviations from the test plan.
  • Define and implement a test automation approach and quality engineering methodologies to promote test-driven development.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, focusing on designing, developing, maintaining, and executing test automation frameworks for comprehensive functional, regression, stress, load, and performance testing.
  • 3+ years of experience with test automation tools/frameworks such as TOSCA, UFT, or Selenium.
  • 2+ years of experience with test management tools like qTest, Octane, or Rally.
  • 2+ years of experience with RDBMS databases, including SQL Server, Oracle, or Exadata.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with global development teams and business partners to ensure comprehensive test cases are created for thorough technology solution testing in an Agile environment.
  • Ability to provide expertise on quality engineering tools, automation frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Proficient in interpreting enterprise quality engineering standards and policies, formulating strategies for adoption, and serving as a subject matter expert for tooling and quality processes.
  • Strong data analysis skills and familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Excellent functional testing skills, preferably with experience in financial, banking, or credit risk management domains.
  • Detail-oriented and quality-conscious, with a focus on simplicity.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
Compensation: $42.08-$50.08
