Job Title: Bartender/Server

Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Bartender/Server to join our team at Landscapes Golf Management and Whispering Creek Golf Club. As a Bartender/Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests while ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Attend to the service needs of club patrons in the bar area, including food and beverage service.
  2. Maintain the stock and cleanliness of the bar area.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Attend Responsible Alcohol and Tobacco Service training and adhere to the Responsible Alcohol and Tobacco Service policy.
  2. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to bar patrons, utilizing drink measures and proper pours.
  3. Check customers' identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
  4. Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register system.
  5. Collect guest payment, process credit card charges, and make change (if applicable).
  6. Take food orders, record food orders into the register system, and deliver orders to bar patrons.
  7. Prep and cook food to order as needed.
  8. Maintain the stock in the bar and the cleanliness of the area.
  9. Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment per company guidelines and health department requirements.
  10. Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks and appetizers for bar patrons.
  11. Communicate low stock items to the food and beverage manager as appropriate.
  12. Follow closing and duty lists as appropriate.
  13. Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to company management.
  14. Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by following company procedures.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to the work and success of the club and the Company by being service- and solution-oriented, having positive interactions with all club staff and members/guests, and meeting established quality, service, and safety expectations.
  16. Perform additional assignments per the direction of club or Company managers.
  17. Regular and punctual attendance on site for all scheduled shifts is required.

Requirements:

  1. Must have the ability to deliver a high level of customer service while working under pressure.
  2. Good oral communication skills.
  3. Ability to calculate and complete liquid measurements.
  4. Ability to do simple math and count change accurately.

Education and Experience:

  1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
  2. High school diploma or GED required.
  3. Previous experience in food service/bartending preferred.
  4. Responsible Alcohol and Tobacco training and/or certificate.

Physical Requirements:

  • Seeing and hearing: read documents, computer screen, answer phones, communicate in person 25-75%.
  • Standing and walking 25-100%.
  • Climbing, stooping, squatting, and kneeling 24-50%.
  • Dexterity: utilizing phone, typing, and writing 0-24%.
  • Lift in excess of 25 pounds 0-24%.
