Job Summary

The Server Assistant will assist servers in providing exceptional service to our members and guests in a courteous and professional manner. This role will be responsible for ensuring the dining area is clean and well-maintained, and that all necessary amenities are available to our patrons.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist Servers: Welcome patrons, escort them to their tables, and provide menus in a timely and courteous manner.
  2. Prepare Tables: Wipe up spills, replace linens, set up tableware, napkins, and condiments. Wrap utensils in napkins accordingly.
  3. Clear Tables: Clear tables and maintain the general cleanliness of the dining area.
  4. Deliver Food: Deliver food to patrons when servers are busy.
  5. Stock and Clean: Ensure the server station and bar are stocked and clean.
  6. Prepare Beverages: Prepare and refill water and other non-alcoholic beverages for club patrons.
  7. Process Payments: Assist servers with processing payments as needed.
  8. Remove Trash: Remove trash and sanitize menus.
  9. Set Up Events: Set up tables, chairs, and serving stations for events or dinner service.
  10. Professional Appearance: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, adhering to the club's dress code.
  11. Teamwork: Demonstrate a commitment to the work and success of the Company by being solution-oriented, having positive interactions with all team members, and meeting customer service standards set by management.
  12. Additional Assignments: Perform additional assignments as directed by club or Company managers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Excellent Customer Service Skills: The ability to deliver a high level of customer service.
  2. Good Communication Skills: Good oral communication skills.
  3. Basic Math Skills: The ability to compute simple math and count change accurately.
  4. Food Safety Certification: The ability to obtain a food handler's permit or certification.
Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in food service is preferred, and certification as a Food Handler is a plus.

Physical Requirements
  • Visual and Auditory Abilities: The ability to read documents, computer screens, and communicate in person.
  • Physical Abilities: The ability to stand and walk for extended periods, climb, stoop, squat, and kneel as needed.
  • Dexterity: The ability to utilize a phone, type, write, and drive as needed.
  • Lifting: The ability to lift in excess of 25 pounds as needed.
