Job Overview

Dakota Dunes Country Club is in search of enthusiastic and dedicated Cocktail Servers to join our team for the upcoming golf season. Candidates must be at least 18 years old at the time of hiring.

As a private club, Dakota Dunes Country Club offers a vibrant lifestyle in a serene and welcoming environment. Our members enjoy a comprehensive lifestyle with a variety of amenities, including 18 holes of exceptional golf, diverse dining options, fitness facilities, an outdoor pool, a recreation center, and tennis courts. We are excited about our clubhouse renovation and the upcoming grand opening.

Position Summary

The Cocktail Server is responsible for meeting the service needs of club members and guests in the bar area, ensuring a high standard of food and beverage service while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Complete Responsible Alcohol and Tobacco Service training and comply with related policies.
  2. Prepare and serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to patrons, ensuring proper measurements and pours.
  3. Verify customer identification to ensure compliance with legal drinking age requirements.
  4. Accurately record drink orders immediately upon receipt into the register system.
  5. Process guest payments, including credit card transactions and providing change when necessary.
  6. Take and record food orders, delivering them promptly to bar patrons.
  7. Maintain stock levels and cleanliness in the bar area, arranging bottles and glasses for efficient service.
  8. Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment according to company standards and health regulations.
  9. Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks and appetizers for guests.
  10. Communicate low stock items to the food and beverage manager as needed.
  11. Follow closing procedures and assigned duties as required.
  12. Report any equipment issues or maintenance needs to management.
  13. Adhere to company procedures to minimize issues related to excessive drinking.
  14. Demonstrate a commitment to the club's success by providing excellent service and maintaining positive interactions with staff and members.
  15. Complete additional tasks as directed by club or company management.
  16. Regular and punctual attendance for all scheduled shifts is mandatory.

  1. Ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Strong verbal communication skills.
  3. Competence in calculating and measuring liquid quantities.
  4. Basic math skills and accuracy in handling cash transactions.

Education and Experience

  1. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  2. A high school diploma or GED is required.
  3. Previous experience in food service or bartending is preferred.
  4. Completion of Responsible Alcohol and Tobacco training or certification is required.

Physical Requirements

  • Visual and auditory capabilities to read documents, operate a computer, answer phones, and communicate in person.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to climb, stoop, squat, and kneel as needed.
  • Dexterity for using phones, typing, and writing.
  • Ability to lift items exceeding 25 pounds occasionally.
