Healthcare Investment Banking Analyst

As an Investment Banking Analyst in Healthcare at Barclays, you will lead and deliver innovative financial strategies tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of assets and assignments within the healthcare sector, while collaborating closely with the Biopharma team. Your strong communication skills will be essential in engaging with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring exceptional service delivery to our clients.
Success in this position may require proficiency in critical areas such as financial modeling, analysis of financial statements, and macroeconomic evaluation, alongside support for the Biopharma team and job-specific technical competencies.
Compensation Range: Minimum: 110,000 | Maximum: 135,000
Please note that the salary information provided pertains solely to base salary or hourly rate and does not encompass other forms of compensation or benefits that may be available.
Role Objective
To engage in the daily operations of the investment banking division, gaining extensive exposure to various clients, transactions, and specialized areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate on active deals, client presentations, and provide advisory support to a wide array of corporate clients, delivering comprehensive, structured solutions to achieve client objectives.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to bolster business initiatives.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Identify opportunities, develop business cases, and oversee the deployment and launch of new investment banking products and services.
- Manage client relationships and offer customer service support, responding to inquiries regarding products and services while processing transactions with decreasing supervision.
- Develop and implement financial models and strategies that facilitate decision-making in investment banking, gaining insights into business operations from industry experts.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior team members.

- Make evaluative judgments based on factual analysis, with attention to detail.
- Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions based on acquired technical expertise, guided by established precedents.
- Guide and persuade team members while communicating complex or sensitive information.
- Act as a point of contact for stakeholders outside your immediate function, fostering a network of contacts both within and outside the organization.
