Position: Investment Banking Associate
Location: San Francisco Bay Area (Hybrid)
Green Recruitment Company is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to lead designated transactions and oversee the contributions made by Analysts or other Associates.
Company Overview:This organization specializes in strategic advisory services for clients within the entire renewable energy sector, utilizing capital markets and technological expertise to deliver project finance, capital raising, and M&A solutions.
As an Associate or Senior Associate, you will enjoy a significant level of responsibility and independence from the beginning, collaborating closely with mid-senior management and reporting directly to a Director on the deals team. Additional duties will encompass participation in financial and business due diligence, acting as the Engagement Lead for specific client accounts, planning and executing pre-engagement activities, and developing final deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze and construct advanced financial models and valuations for client proposals and strategic initiatives, including DCF, trading comparables, tax equity structures, and debt financing.
- Design and evaluate tax equity structures.
- Oversee daily deal execution, liaising with senior deal team members, client management teams, transaction counterparties, and other advisors.
- Assist clients in due diligence by managing information flow, supervising communications and meetings between parties, and reviewing and analyzing company data.
- Work autonomously to produce high-quality deliverables such as Confidential Investment Memorandums, board materials, and other presentation documents for tax equity financing and M&A transactions or client presentations.
- Provide mentorship, leadership, and oversight to Analysts.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; a Master's degree with a focus on Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or Economics is preferred.
- Must successfully complete SIE, Series 79, and 63 examinations within the initial onboarding period.
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in strategic business consulting, valuation, or investment banking.
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in tax equity structuring and transactions.
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in the renewable energy sector.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in financial modeling is essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks.
- A genuine passion for renewable energy and decarbonization.
