Job Title: Clinical Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Professor to join our team at Tacoma Community College. As a Clinical Professor, you will be responsible for teaching and supervising clinical education for the Respiratory Care program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assume responsibility for the teaching-learning process of students in the laboratory, and/or clinical setting.
  • Plan and implement any special learning experiences needed by students in the Respiratory Therapy specialty areas, as it relates to instructor's area of expertise.
  • Supervise activities of students in the clinical facility.
  • Evaluate student's achievement in terms of clinical outcomes utilizing student's clinical performance and the written assignments pertaining to client care.
  • Function as an effective member of the assigned team of instructors and participate in faculty meetings.
  • Perform duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Licensed respiratory therapist in the state of Washington.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • Have a minimum of 3 years experience as a RCP.
  • Be in good standing with the medical facility and department.
  • Be oriented to both the ICU and General wards.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree or higher in a related field.
  • Coordination of clinical education in a community-based respiratory care program.
  • Experience working as a respiratory therapist in a major medical center.
  • Experience integrating the computer as a tool to support respiratory care instruction.
