Phlebotomist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at North Bend Medical Center in Coos Bay, Oregon. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in collecting patient specimens for clinical analysis, ensuring accurate and timely results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform venipunctures and capillary collections with precision and care
  • Obtain culture specimens from various sources, adhering to strict protocols
  • Research specimen requirements for referred tests, ensuring accurate and efficient processing
  • Inventory and requisition phlebotomy supplies, maintaining a well-stocked and organized workspace
  • Print patient billing information, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
Requirements:
  • Ability to manage difficult situations with professionalism and poise
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to instruct patients on proper specimen collection
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to get vaccinated
