About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teller Operations Coordinator to lead our banking center team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, monitoring and training team members, and working with clients to identify sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service Leadership: Lead the customer service satisfaction of the banking center, resolving customer issues in a manner consistent with our goals.
  • Technical Performance: Lead the technical performance of the financial center, maintaining control over key risk areas, including teller performance, operational losses, and audit control procedures.
  • Cash Handling and Security: Handle cash drawers, ensuring proper control of cash, and follow all audit and security policies and procedures.
  • Vault Management: Handle single control vaults, ensuring proper control of vault cash, and follow all audit and security policies and procedures.
  • Work Flow and Scheduling: Maintain work flow and handle scheduling of tellers.
  • Employee Performance: Evaluate employee performance and provide counseling when needed.
  • Training and Development: Determine and satisfy training needs, and establish performance plans.
  • Sales and Cross-Selling: Cross-sell and make referrals to generate new business and additional services.
  • Communication and Meetings: Conduct teller meetings to develop a communication line, explain new policies, and ensure continuous development of staff.
  • Product Knowledge and Customer Service: Explain product benefits, changes, restrictions, requirements, and other relevant product information to customers and tellers.
  • Efficiency and Control: Ensure proper control and maximum efficiency in the teller line.
  • Audit and Security: Ensure all audit and security policies and procedures are followed during customer service hours and at banking office opening and closing.
  • Cash Inventory and Control: Control the inventory of cash, traveler's checks, official checks, and personal money orders through dual control.
  • ATM Processing: Monitor the daily balancing and processing of ATM, including the processing of all entries, servicing, and required audits.
  • Deposit Verification: Responsible for the verification of deposits in the night and lobby depository.
  • Fraud Detection: Alert tellers about any suspected fraud, kiting, theft, or other illegal activity.
  • Securing Records and Equipment: Secure all applicable cash records and other transaction records, supplies, and computer equipment at the end of the work day.
  • Cash Limits and Branch Cash: Responsible for monitoring, controlling teller cash limits and branch cash.
  • Cash Balancing: Accountable for ensuring that the total cash in the branch is balanced daily.
  • Dual Control Vault Responsibilities: Coordinate and assist with the dual control vault responsibilities.
  • Transaction Overriding: Use good judgment and follow bank policies when overriding transactions for tellers with withdrawals/less cash authority.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills: Experience with a 10-key calculator and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Prior Experience: Prior teller experience preferred.
