About the Role

The John Stewart Company is seeking a highly skilled Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our affordable housing properties. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties, maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies, and providing exceptional service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and enforce property rules and regulations, lease documents, and report any violations.
  • Process, complete, and maintain accurate resident files at move-in and recertification, adhering to established regulatory guidelines.
  • Recruit, hire, and terminate staff, as well as train and evaluate employees to ensure high-quality service.
  • Ensure program compliance with HUD, TCAC, Home Program, RHCP, CAL HFA, AHP, and other relevant regulations.
  • Obtain necessary documentation, complete certifications, and collect deposits and rents in accordance with program policies and procedures.
  • Ensure site staff responds to resident requests and complaints in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner.
  • Complete work orders and turnover of vacant units in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Basic mathematical skills with proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing assignments to meet deadlines.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in management, training, and evaluation with Tax Credit properties.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential; Boston Post software knowledge is a plus.
  • Not a live-on-site position.
