Job Overview

The United Center, a leading venue for sports and entertainment, is in search of a dedicated professional to fulfill the role of Information Security Analyst I, focusing on IT security and technology.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a proficient Information Security Analyst who will be instrumental in monitoring, evaluating, and addressing security incidents and threats within our infrastructure. The successful candidate will possess a keen analytical ability, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong commitment to identifying and mitigating cybersecurity risks.

Core Duties:

  • Validate security alerts and ensure that appropriate measures are taken to address threats.
  • Investigate security incidents and vulnerabilities to ensure effective mitigation strategies are implemented.
  • Act as the technical lead for internal security tools and serve as the primary liaison for external partners.
  • Maintain and update security incident response plans, procedures, and documentation.
  • Develop or refine internal controls, processes, and procedures related to IT security.
  • Collaborate with various teams to implement security measures that prevent and reduce security threats.
  • Provide recommendations on cybersecurity practices for new technologies and how to manage emerging risks.
  • Oversee assigned projects and tasks, ensuring timely completion and effective communication.
  • Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and vulnerabilities to proactively manage potential risks.
  • Participate in third-party security evaluations.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the field of cybersecurity.
  • Strong comprehension of cybersecurity principles, practices, frameworks, and technologies.
  • Experience in detecting, analyzing, and responding to security incidents using relevant tools.
  • Knowledge of prevalent cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, and mitigation techniques.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical audiences.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline.
  • Alternatively, a combination of an associate degree and relevant experience.

Specific Skills and Abilities:

  • Language Skills - Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting complex documents.
  • Mathematical Skills - Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and interpret data effectively.
  • Reasoning Ability - Capable of applying logical or scientific principles to a wide range of problems.
