Position Overview:
The Lead Cybersecurity Compliance Strategist is tasked with spearheading global initiatives that tackle cybersecurity and technology-related regulatory and compliance challenges. This role is crucial in ensuring adherence to internal controls aimed at mitigating cybersecurity risks, while also enhancing control efficiency at both global and local levels. The strategist will direct efforts to gather global control feedback and assessment results, ensuring that appropriate remediation plans are in place and validating the timely resolution of issues. This position requires strong risk and control expertise, effective client engagement, and the ability to mentor and develop analysts.
Enhancing internal cybersecurity control services, including program documentation, metrics, reporting, and automated tracking, is a key responsibility.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in developing effective metrics, driving scalable global solutions, creating reports, and implementing automation.

Responsibilities:

Assume ownership of the cybersecurity internal control compliance segment within the Global Cybersecurity Compliance team, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion across global markets.

Lead routine compliance activities such as finalizing compliance scope, updating policy content, providing training, and overseeing remediation tracking.

Formulate a strategy for vulnerability management and ensure accountability among third parties for the platforms under development.

Develop effective metrics, reports, and automated data collection procedures to support a robust global, scalable compliance program.
Provide insights on remediation, drawing lessons from various markets, and guiding cross-market learning.
Support the establishment and maintenance of global remediation services for common theme issues across markets when necessary.
Drive automation and offshoring of control tasks to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of the internal control compliance program.
Identify and anticipate control challenges and risk issues, contributing to the shaping of the long-term internal control strategy.

Collaborate with all stakeholders in internal control compliance, defining scopes and objectives, enhancing the risk and control framework, influencing remediation validation approaches, managing key communications, and supporting reassessment activities.

Guide the strategy, processes, and approaches, showcasing comprehensive cybersecurity and compliance domain knowledge.

Successfully collaborate with leadership on compliance and risk matters, aligning efforts with leaders to address issues and strengthen the control landscape.

Establish trust with leadership by effectively leading critical risk and audit discussions, communications, and tasks.
Oversee an efficient Internal Controls team, supervising third-party personnel.
Provide hands-on mentorship to direct reports, offering guidance, instruction, and support throughout their work.

Requirements:

A minimum of 8 years of experience in leading risk and compliance activities, potentially including cybersecurity assessments and technology risk audits
Experience in global remediation of cybersecurity issues
Hands-on experience in vulnerability management or patching
Familiarity with IT, business processes, and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, PCI, ISO, SOX, and global data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, CPRA)
Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, establish collaborative relationships, and ensure effectiveness in projects
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in programming, scripting, technical solution design, and development
Advanced degree or equivalent experience with additional degrees preferred
Comprehensive understanding of IT operations, security administration, data governance, privacy, and incident management, among other areas
Professional credentials preferred (OSCP, CRTO, CISSP, CEH, CIPT, CDPSE, CISA, or equivalent).
