Position Purpose:

We are looking for a meticulous and enthusiastic Security Analyst to become a vital part of our IT division. This entry-level position is tailored for individuals who possess a strong interest in cybersecurity and are eager to safeguard our organization’s valuable assets and sensitive information. Your role will encompass a variety of security audits, monitoring responsibilities, and initiatives aimed at bolstering our security framework. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for information security, possess analytical skills, and show a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Daily Responsibilities:

Security Monitoring and Assessment:

  • Perform routine security evaluations and vulnerability assessments across our IT systems.
  • Assist in the surveillance of security logs and alerts, pinpointing potential threats and responding to incidents.
  • Support the execution of security audits to verify compliance with internal protocols and industry regulations.

Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Work alongside the IT team to identify security vulnerabilities and formulate mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in the establishment and upkeep of security policies and procedures.
  • Engage in compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

Incident Response:

  • Collaborate with the security team to address security incidents, contributing to analysis, containment, and remediation processes.
  • Help develop and update incident response protocols and documentation.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance security awareness and training initiatives.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends, threats, and technologies in cybersecurity to strengthen the organization’s security posture.

Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of experience in information security or a related discipline.
  • A basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • A proactive and detail-oriented mindset, capable of managing multiple tasks.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, vulnerability scanners, firewalls).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker) are advantageous.
  • Experience with cloud service platforms, preferably Azure.
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.
