JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Elections Systems Integration Security Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the Voter Registration System Administrator and the broader Elections Division. This position is responsible for collaborating with vendors to establish, enhance, and maintain integrations between Georgia's Voter Registration & Election Planning System, GARViS, and other systems. Additionally, the analyst will assess and manage cybersecurity risks associated with the Elections Systems.

This role will also assist the Voter Registration System Administrator in reviewing system data to ensure accuracy during system enhancements and issue resolution, providing critical feedback to both internal teams and software vendors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Participate in the assessment and maintenance of current integrations, including testing, documentation, and implementation.

· Serve as the primary contact for integration vendors regarding Elections Information Systems.

· Undertake limited project duties and additional responsibilities to support the Elections Information Systems & Database Manager concerning integrations, system data review, and cybersecurity.

· Direct the ongoing enhancement of integrations and cybersecurity measures to ensure technological and business relevance.

· Collaborate with other Elections Division team members and senior leaders to align business needs and collaboratively design solutions for complex project challenges related to integrations and system security.

· Provide application and technical support for Electronic Ballot Delivery (EBD) tools, Ballot Tracking tools, and Electronic Poll Book tools.

o Conduct active testing of systems to identify errors or defects in integrations.

o Collaborate with the Voter Registration System Administrator and vendors to resolve defects and issues with integrations.

· Compile and document technical details related to integrations and any subsequent revisions.

· Document cybersecurity responses and improvements made.

· Identify security vulnerabilities within the Elections Information Systems.

· Conduct active testing of systems to uncover cybersecurity risks.

· Assist in documenting ongoing issues with system integrations as reported by state and county end users.

· Continuously learn about the architecture and logic of the Elections Information Systems.

· Review isolated data within the Elections Information System to provide feedback on data integrity and accuracy.

· Recommend practices and protocols to mitigate cybersecurity threats.

· Develop security measures to protect Elections Information Systems against attacks and threats.

· Implement procedures to ensure compliance with security standards.

· Utilize strong written and interpersonal communication skills.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

· Ability to read and interpret technical documents, as well as operational, policy, and procedure manuals.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments with minimal direction.

· Proficient in Microsoft products, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.

· Ability to document system modifications and comply with business standards.

· Discretion when handling sensitive data.

· Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks to achieve objectives.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Strong understanding of technical language. Experience with Elections and Voter Registration Systems is required.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree from a nationally accredited college or university in computer science or a related field, or an associate's degree in a technical curriculum with at least 3 years of recent relevant experience in an IT or application support role.

Bachelors Degree *and* One (1) year of work-related experience OR Associates Degree in Business Administrative Technology *and* Two (2) years of related work experience. Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
