Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Electrical Engineer will be a vital member of the Engineering Services team at a major integrated petrochemical manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include:

  • Optimizing, troubleshooting, and designing a diverse range of electrical equipment.
  • Ensuring that installed electrical systems contribute to safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient operations.
  • Collaborating closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to identify and implement electrical repairs and enhancements.
  • Designing and specifying electrical components such as motors, breakers, relays, generators, and transformers.
  • Coordinating projects for new or replacement equipment across various teams.
  • Providing commissioning and startup support for electrical systems.
  • Acting as a liaison between project engineers and maintenance personnel.
  • Supporting business teams in maintaining and improving electrical reliability while minimizing maintenance costs.
  • Participating in the design and optimization of electric power systems.
  • Conducting power systems simulations and analyses, including load flow and arc flash studies.

Required Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in the petrochemical sector, particularly with power systems.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

  • The ability to collaborate effectively with diverse personnel across various levels.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems and understanding safety standards.

Work Environment:
This position primarily involves office work, with occasional visits to shop floors. Candidates should be prepared for a regulated environment that requires adherence to strict procedures and flexibility to meet business needs.

Education Requirements:
B.E/B.Tech/BS in Electrical Engineering.
