Position Overview

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) stands as a premier power engineering consultancy, delivering comprehensive engineering services, system planning, technical advisory, project oversight, surveying, environmental strategy, commissioning/testing, and construction solutions to electric utilities, energy developers, and industrial sectors across the United States. Our expertise spans system voltages from 4.16 kV to 765 kV.

We are excited to announce the establishment of a new office in the Houston, TX region, and we are seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer to lead this initiative. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and expansion of our new location.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead a professional consulting office, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships within the industrial and utility sectors.
  • Oversee and ensure the quality of technical designs for the Houston office.
  • Mentor junior engineers, instilling company values and quality standards.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in the power or industrial sectors.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (P.E.) License.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • A proven ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality work and accuracy.
  • A readiness to meet the demands of fast-paced project timelines.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of power engineering principles, be well-versed in relevant codes, standards, and design tools, and demonstrate basic project management skills. Additionally, the candidate should have the capability to supervise and guide design teams effectively.
