About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Analog Power Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Effector Power and Analog Design (EPAD) Team, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust power systems for our Telemetry and Flight Termination products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion circuitry, including non-isolated and isolated switch mode power converters and linear converters.
  • Assist in architecting circuit card level designs and help drive circuit card development through its design phases.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to guide ECAD drafters through layout and routing activities and assist in layer stackup definition.
  • Function as an individual contributor and engage in personal technical growth, with opportunities to take on leadership roles.
  • Clearly present your work product to functional and program leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced STEM degree.
  • Design, analysis, test, and/or simulation experience with non-isolated converter topologies, such as buck, boost, and buck-boost.
  • Experience using tools like MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or similar tools.
  • Experience with analog electronics design, including FETs/BJTs, op-amp, high/low/band pass filters, clock/data termination, and comparator circuits.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Self-starter with good time management skills and an appreciation for how successful teams are structured.
  • Experience communicating and documenting technical topics at the small team level.
  • Familiarity with wide bandgap devices (SiC, GaN) in power electronics designs, simulators like SIMPLIS or SABER, or Mentor Graphics DxDesigner, and/or Hyperlynx.
