Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Project Manager to join our team at Blackstone Consulting, Inc. in Pleasanton, California. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide management oversight of food service operations, including labor, budget, and inventory management.
  • Coordinate cooperation and support between dining facilities, including cross-utilization of labor resources.
  • Ensure compliance with building/equipment cleaning plans and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Physically inspect dining facilities on a scheduled basis and respond to client requests for information and meetings in a timely manner.
  • Maintain budget controls for inventory, supplies, and equipment ordering, and labor costs.
  • Prepare work schedules in accordance with contract requirements and ensure employees comply with all safety regulations.
Requirements
  • 10-15 years of U.S. Army or U.S. Air Force food service experience.
  • Five years of experience in managing cafeteria-style or multi-entr operations, with at least three years at the supervisory level.
  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in food management may be substituted for two years of management experience.
  • Sanitation and Food Safety certification within the past four years.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and competency in managing food services, labor, budget, and other resources.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, managing a team of 35-45 employees and overseeing the food service operations at our dining facility. The position requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to interpret government contracts and make appropriate applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, with experience in managing cafeteria-style or multi-entr operations. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
