Martha O'Bryan Center is seeking a Language Development Professional to join our team at Explore Community School. The successful candidate will have experience working with students with speech and language impairments and will be able to develop and implement effective strategies to support their development.

About the Role:

The Language Development Professional will be responsible for providing direct services to students identified with a speech or language impairment. This includes screening, evaluating, diagnosing and treating disorders of speech and language communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct treatment to target goals in student's speech production, vocal production, and language deficits
  • Deliver pre-referral speech/language interventions in Tier 1 and Tier 2
  • Document and collect data on all consultation sessions and provide regular assessments to monitor student progress
  • Conduct student screenings and/or assessments of language, voice, fluency, articulation or hearing
  • Develop and implement high quality, legally compliant individualized education plans (IEPs)

This position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $100,000 per year, paid leave, and robust benefits including medical, dental and retirement through Metro Nashville Public Schools.
