About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Therapist Speech and Language Lead to join our team at Metro Nashville Public Schools. As a key member of our exceptional education department, you will play a critical role in supporting speech-language pathologists (SLPs) assigned to every school in providing prevention, assessment, and remediation services for students who exhibit difficulties in the areas of language, speech, voice, and fluency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with other department of exceptional education professionals to participate in working groups, presentations, and revise procedures and policies as needed.
  • Support district SLPs and/or school-level professionals with analysis and interpretation of information to make recommendations regarding the need and intensity level for speech-language services.
  • Participate in leadership activities to plan and implement professional development on topics related to school-based speech pathology.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in speech-language pathology and/or exceptional education, with a Master's Degree in the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology and a Tennessee Department of Education Teacher's License (Practitioner/Professional School Services Provider).

This role offers an estimated salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
