Position Summary:

We are looking for a Compliance Manager located in the Dallas Fort Worth area. This individual will play a pivotal role in enhancing and executing compliance initiatives, focusing on the establishment and maintenance of a robust Compliance Management System (CMS). The Compliance Manager will spearhead various compliance projects, including system upgrades and process enhancements, aimed at improving overall compliance effectiveness. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution, compliance reporting, and staying abreast of regulatory changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance strategy.
  • Conduct annual evaluations and provide insights on existing policies and procedures.
  • Design, implement, and uphold policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Perform regular compliance risk assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and formulate mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor ongoing compliance initiatives, reporting on adherence to training programs designed to educate employees on their responsibilities.
  • Manage compliance documentation and reporting, ensuring awareness of regulatory changes and industry best practices.
  • Prepare and submit necessary license applications, renewals, and filings in a timely manner.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of compliance activities, including policy reviews, procedure updates, and audit findings.
  • Evaluate the impact of regulatory changes on the organization and recommend necessary adjustments to compliance programs.
  • Implement and sustain a CMS and vendor management program.
  • Oversee the development and execution of the CMS, validating the effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to conduct regular audits and assessments, creating remediation plans to address identified compliance gaps.
  • Supervise the compliance team in monitoring and auditing activities.
  • Establish and maintain an effective monitoring and auditing program to identify and resolve compliance issues.
  • Conduct regular compliance reviews and assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the customer complaint process, promptly investigating compliance-related incidents or violations.
  • Respond to due diligence inquiries and requests from internal clients and vendors.
  • Oversee the onboarding of new vendors, ensuring compliance with onboarding processes, including due diligence and contract reviews.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of compliance experience within the automotive sales and finance sector.
  • At least one year of experience in vendor management.
  • A proven track record of building, developing, and enhancing a CMS program.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory environment for financial institutions and customer data, including TILA, UDAAP, FCRA, GLBA, and Fair Lending.
  • Experience in a dynamic, high-growth work environment is preferred.
  • Professional experience in automotive refinancing and/or collateral recovery is advantageous.
