About the Role

APGFCU is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive business development and community involvement plans that drive growth and awareness for our credit union.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute an annual business development plan, detailing tactics and measurable outcomes for growth in members, business partners, and community involvement initiatives.
  • Solicit new business partners for our business development programs and manage workplace enrollments and special event participation.
  • Participate in the development and execution of marketing's annual strategic plan for new member growth and act as a liaison and advisor to branch managers to create new business development strategies and tactics.
  • Identify, build, and manage long-term relationships with strategic partners in the community, including memberships on local boards and committees.
  • Establish connections with key community groups and assist branch managers, financial educators, and other employees in getting involved in their local community activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Five plus years of sales or relationship management experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Proven track record in community engagement leadership in either a volunteer or employee role.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in personal computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Project and budget management skills, with the ability to effectively demonstrate and coach proactive sales and service behaviors.
