As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive business development and community involvement plans that create awareness, enhance our image, and contribute to the achievement of our goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development
    • Create and execute an annual business development plan, detailing tactics and measurable outcomes for growth in members, business partners, and open enrollments in assigned territory.
    • Solicit new business partners for our business development programs.
    • Manage workplace enrollments and special event participation that provide opportunities for us to connect with prospective new members.
    • Participate in the development and execution of our annual strategic plan for new member growth.
    • Act as a liaison and advisor to branch managers to create new business development strategies and tactics for their individual markets.
  • Community Involvement
    • Identify, build, and manage long-term relationships with strategic partners in the community, including memberships on local boards and committees.
    • Establish connections with key community groups and assist branch managers, financial educators, and other employees in getting involved in their local community activities.
    • Recommend and facilitate opportunities to deepen individual and credit union representation and participation in community involvement initiatives to ensure all aspects of the marketplace are covered.
    • Identify community involvement opportunities and determine which are the most appropriate and beneficial to pursue.
    • Provide a constant flow of feedback from community and business leaders to our leadership.
  • Other
    • Requires a flexible schedule for evening and weekend activities.
    • Responsible for special projects and other duties as assigned by leadership.
    • Provide monthly reporting to our leadership, detailing all efforts and results for new memberships generated, new partnerships established, open enrollments/tabling events held, and community sponsorship/event participation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Five plus years of sales or relationship management experience required, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Proven track record in community engagement leadership in either a volunteer or employee role.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers, clients, members, and the public.
