Quality Assurance Engineer

An exciting opportunity exists within the data management sector, contributing to the development of the most extensive source of person-based incarceration, justice, and risk intelligence data in the nation.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, innovative, and capable of thriving in collaborative project teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver Quality Engineering services, including code quality, testing services, performance engineering, automation of testing and environments, and continuous integration.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of BDD/TDD methodologies, code review practices, and agile testing frameworks to ensure product quality and release-level excellence.
  • Collaborate with technology teams, including Quality Engineers, Operations, Developers, DevOps Engineers, Product Management, and Architecture, to define project scopes and deliver services effectively.
  • Engage in quality engineering, exploratory testing, and automation tasks across critical areas such as web, API, and batch job testing.
  • Promote the adoption of development services, including Quality Engineering, Performance Engineering, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Collaboration among various teams.
  • Comprehend customer needs and the associated value chain to enhance processes and practices for an exceptional customer experience.
  • Encourage strategic thinking and continuous learning to maintain the organization’s leadership in technology and high-quality product offerings.

This position is a contract opportunity with a leading global organization. There is potential for extension or conversion at the end of the contract. Successful candidates will demonstrate high initiative and the ability to excel in a dynamic enterprise environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in creating effective acceptance and integration test automation scripts, integrating with Continuous Integration tools (e.g., Jenkins) and code coverage tools (e.g., Sonar, Clover) to achieve 80% or higher code coverage.
  • Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, JUnit, Eclipse IDE, Rest Assured, Appium, JBehave/Cucumber frameworks, databases, APIs (REST/SOAP), and Continuous Delivery concepts and tools.
  • Expertise in Test Case and Defect Management throughout the SDLC process.
  • Demonstrated skills in software development, testing, and coding.
  • In-depth knowledge of agile delivery and lifecycle management tools (e.g., JIRA/Rally/Rational Concert), along with software testing standards and methodologies.
  • Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing strategies and automation using device clouds.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in performance engineering and profiling (e.g., Java JVM, databases) using tools like Load Runner and JMeter.
  • Familiarity with application performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts using tools like Chef and Puppet.

COMPENSATION: Pay Range: $50-56/hour W2
