Role Overview

The Continuous Improvement Specialist plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of ongoing enhancement within the organization. This position is tasked with overseeing kaizen initiatives and various improvement projects as directed by site leadership, policy deployment, model value stream, and daily management practices. The Specialist will also spearhead the development of the organization's proficiency in RBS tools, with a strong emphasis on enhancing problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of Model Value Stream initiatives (Vision and Challenges) and support related A3 documentation.
  • Collaborate with management to formulate Policy Deployment strategies, KPI metrics, and actionable plans.
  • Manage and provide updates on the portfolio of kaizen initiatives.
  • Ensure the successful execution of kaizen events, which includes:
    • Event planning utilizing a dynamic funnel process aligned with Policy Deployment, Model Value Stream, and Daily Management.
    • Facilitating event execution and ensuring the sustainability of kaizen outcomes.
  • Offer ongoing expert-level support and guidance on RBS principles and tools.
  • Act as a change agent by challenging existing methodologies and performance metrics.
  • Oversee the implementation of RBS principles and tools to enhance safety, quality, on-time delivery, while minimizing operational costs and inventory levels.
  • Lead initiatives to strengthen problem-solving capabilities within the organization, providing direct support for leadership development programs.
  • Conduct and/or coordinate local training sessions on RBS tools to enhance organizational understanding and capabilities.
  • Continuously improve lean knowledge through ongoing education and training.
  • Manage significant projects and programs that align with business objectives.
  • Support other Regal Rexnord divisions and the Corporate RBS Team in the development and execution of RBS tools and processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, operations, process improvement, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, RBS, or similar methodologies is preferred.
  • Innovative thinker with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in problem analysis, solution proposal, theory testing, and alternative research.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet both short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Adaptable and flexible in response to change.
  • Team-oriented individual capable of building partnerships while leading cross-functional teams.
  • Self-driven with a strong work ethic and resilience.
  • Exceptional skills in group facilitation, training, communication, and presentation.
