Position Overview

As a key member of the Continuous Improvement team, this role focuses on enhancing manufacturing processes and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Senior Continuous Improvement Manager, the incumbent will actively engage in the planning, execution, and assessment of initiatives aimed at elevating productivity, quality, and safety standards across manufacturing operations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams to minimize production waste and improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement systematic procedures for handling large-scale processing equipment.
  • Conduct time studies to identify and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
  • Perform on-site observations and work closely with manufacturing personnel to document existing processes and target conditions, focusing on eliminating non-value-added activities.
  • Engage in the implementation of continuous improvement methodologies, leveraging Lean principles such as Just-In-Time (JIT), Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen.
  • Coordinate with various departments to facilitate the fabrication and installation of process enhancements aimed at reducing waste and increasing output.
  • Participate in collaborative improvement events with internal teams and external partners, ensuring sustained progress on initiatives.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

Key Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating initiative and high energy.
  • Willingness to engage with shop floor employees to gain insights and foster collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and meet established deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or related fields, with a preference for Industrial Engineering.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, including data analysis and macro creation.

The incumbent is expected to uphold a commitment to safety and quality, ensuring that all employment practices are conducted fairly and inclusively.
