JOB DESCRIPTION

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ability to interpret and create technical electrical schematics, control diagrams, and P&ID (Process & Instrumentation) layouts as necessary.
  • Design and sustain electrical control systems within the facility and across all production machinery to ensure optimal production efficiency.
  • Possess extensive experience with industrial software, including PLCs, VFDs, temperature controllers, timers, and Rockwell Factory Talk systems.
  • Diagnose issues with plant equipment, formulate corrective action plans, and provide guidance and training to maintenance and tooling personnel.
  • Experience in integrating electrical control components with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing setting.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to define specifications for electrical and control systems, ensuring adherence to established equipment control standards.
  • Utilize standard industrial engineering methodologies to assess processes, leveraging collected data to drive improvements and enhance manufacturing efficiencies in partnership with production teams.
  • Establish and maintain standardized control systems, document control protocols, and implement methods to unify equipment control systems across production environments.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, effectively communicating with maintenance and tooling staff to ensure comprehensive support for operations in various departments.
  • Guarantee that all equipment functions are designed and operate within safe and legal parameters in compliance with OSHA and all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Support production activities within the manufacturing facility.
  • Engage in equipment troubleshooting, design, and optimization.
  • Develop production methods for new or modified products.
  • Design, construct, and oversee product testing equipment, including enhancements to tools, molds, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Coordinate reliability issues of equipment with maintenance teams.
  • Collaborate with Quality teams to reduce scrap and waste while maximizing first-pass quality.
  • Participate in management and strategic planning sessions as needed to assist in guiding product development initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support production operation objectives.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's Degree or higher in Engineering preferred, or equivalent technical training and certification.
  • Preferred experience in Process and Controls engineering.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of machining and assembly practices.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
  • A results-driven individual committed to achieving excellence.
