Role Overview

The Continuous Improvement Specialist plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of ongoing enhancement within the organization. This position is tasked with overseeing kaizen initiatives and various improvement projects as directed by site leadership, policy implementation, value stream modeling, and daily operational management. The Specialist will take a proactive approach in cultivating the organization's expertise in RBS tools, with a strong emphasis on enhancing problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and development of Model Value Streams (Vision and Challenges) and facilitate the execution of supporting A3 reports.
  • Collaborate with management to establish Policy Deployment, performance indicators, and actionable plans.
  • Oversee and report on the portfolio of kaizen initiatives.
  • Ensure the successful execution of kaizen events, which includes:
    • Strategic planning of events aligned with Policy Deployment, Model Value Stream, and Daily Management.
    • Effective execution and sustainability of kaizen event outcomes.
  • Provide ongoing expert-level support and guidance on RBS principles and tools.
  • Act as a catalyst for change by challenging existing methodologies and performance metrics.
  • Facilitate the implementation of RBS principles/tools to enhance safety, quality, punctuality, and reduce operational costs and inventory levels.
  • Lead the development of robust problem-solving capabilities within the organization, supporting leadership development programs.
  • Coordinate and conduct local training sessions on RBS tools to enhance organizational understanding and proficiency.
  • Continuously update and enhance lean knowledge through ongoing education.
  • Manage significant projects and programs that align with business objectives.
  • Support other Regal Rexnord divisions and the Corporate RBS Team in the development and application of RBS tools and processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, operations, or continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, RBS, or similar methodologies is preferred.
  • Innovative thinker with strong interpersonal skills, capable of effective communication across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to analyze challenges, propose solutions, and engage in collaborative problem-solving.
  • Organized with the capability to prioritize tasks to meet both short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Adaptable and flexible in response to change.
  • Team-oriented individual who can foster partnerships while leading cross-functional teams.
  • Self-driven with high energy and resilience.
  • Exceptional facilitation, training, communication, and presentation skills.
