Role Overview

The Continuous Improvement Specialist plays a pivotal role in fostering a culture of ongoing enhancement within the organization. This position is tasked with overseeing kaizen initiatives and various improvement projects as assigned by site leadership, aligning with Policy Deployment, Model Value Stream, and Daily Management strategies. The Specialist will also spearhead the development of the organization's proficiency in RBS tools, with a strong emphasis on enhancing problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the planning and execution of Model Value Stream initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and supporting A3 documentation.
  • Assist management in the formulation of Policy Deployment, KPI's, and actionable plans.
  • Oversee and report on the portfolio of kaizen activities, ensuring effective management and communication.
  • Ensure the successful execution of kaizen events, which includes:
    • Strategic planning of events linked to Policy Deployment and Daily Management.
    • Effective execution and sustainability of results from kaizen events.
  • Provide expert-level support and guidance on RBS principles and tools.
  • Act as a catalyst for change by challenging existing methodologies and performance metrics.
  • Guide the implementation of RBS principles to enhance safety, quality, timely delivery, and to minimize operational costs and inventory levels.
  • Lead initiatives to cultivate robust problem-solving skills within the organization, supporting leadership development programs.
  • Coordinate and conduct local training sessions on RBS tools to enhance organizational understanding and capability.
  • Commit to continuous learning to maintain and elevate lean knowledge.
  • Manage significant projects and programs that align with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with other Regal Rexnord divisions and the Corporate RBS Team to develop and implement RBS tools and processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, operations, or continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, RBS, or similar methodologies is preferred.
  • Innovative thinker with strong interpersonal skills, capable of effective communication across all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in problem analysis, solution development, and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet both short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Adaptable and flexible in response to change.
  • A team-oriented individual who can foster partnerships while leading cross-functional teams.
  • Self-driven with a high level of energy and resilience.
  • Exceptional facilitation, training, communication, and presentation skills.
