About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Wastewater Process Engineer to join our team at Garver. As a key member of our Water Design Center, you will play a critical role in leading wastewater process direction, design, and decision-making for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead wastewater process design on assigned projects, including modeling, evaluations, and master planning.
  • Develop conceptual level designs for wastewater treatment systems and work with the process mechanical team for detailed design services.
  • Perform modeling and design calculations, coordinate with other support discipline activities on projects, and ensure delivery of quality work products.
  • Collaborate with the Water Technology Team and other Garver process experts to develop best practices and areas of focus.
  • Participate in client meetings, industry conferences, and serve as a subject matter expert for the Water Business Line.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to be licensed.
  • 10+ years of municipal water/wastewater process related design experience.
  • 2+ years of experience leading design projects.
  • Process modeling software experience such as Hydromatis GPS-X, Dynamita Sumo, and/or EnviroSim BioWin.
Preferred Skills
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license in several states.
  • 15+ years of municipal water/wastewater process related design experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading design projects.
  • Relationships with municipal clients in the WDC footprint.
  • Experience using hydraulic modeling software.
  • Proven experience overseeing process designs, including detailed plans and specifications for major projects.
  • Overall understanding of wastewater treatment plant systems in a campus-wide environment.
  • Experience using Bluebeam and MS Office products, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Demonstrated experience performing process equipment evaluation, sizing, and cost estimating.
  • Cost estimation experience.
  • Affiliation and active participation with water/wastewater organizations such as AWWA, WEF, WRF.
  • Use of AutoCad and/or Revit CAD programs.
  • Experience in giving presentations for clients and professional organizations.
  • Strong teaching and coaching skills to mentor and communicate with team members of all levels.
