Medical Coding Specialist

About the Role:
This position is a great opportunity to join Standard Technology as a Medical Coding Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for auditing medical documentation and codes to ensure compliance with federal regulations and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
* Audit medical documentation and codes for compliance with federal coding regulations and guidelines.
* Assign ICD, CPT, HCPCS codes, modifiers, and quantities as documented by physicians.
* Train and educate staff on coding issues and play a significant role in coding compliance activities.
Requirements:
* 5+ years of medical coding experience (multiple clinical specialties).
* 2+ years of medical auditing experience within the last 3 years or 3+ years within the last 8 years.
* MHS/DOD experience preferred.
* Certification such as CPC, CPMA, RHIT, RHIA, CCS-P, or CCS required.
