We are seeking a highly skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at Lifespan Corporation in Newport, RI. As a Nursing Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide personalized care and support to patients in various healthcare settings.
About the Role
This full-time position involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include performing personal care skills, basic nursing assistant skills, rehabilitation skills, and maintenance of a safe environment. You will also be responsible for recognizing and reporting signs and symptoms, maintaining quality assurance and infection control, and accurately documenting patient data in electronic health records (EHRs).
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess a current Rhode Island license as a Nursing Assistant, a high school diploma or equivalent, and certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association. One year of experience as a Nursing Assistant is preferred. You must also demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients throughout their lifespan, considering aging processes, human development stages, and cultural patterns.
