Technical Program Manager, Infrastructure for Border Services

Position Overview:

As a Technical Program Manager specializing in Infrastructure for Border Services, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design, planning, and execution of critical network enhancements across our data centers. Your expertise will ensure that our global infrastructure remains robust and responsive to customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the prioritization and scheduling of network modifications and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network operations and engineering, to manage complex projects.
  • Develop comprehensive project timelines, identify potential risks, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor the health of network infrastructure, addressing customer demands and initiating corrective actions as necessary.
  • Engage with stakeholders to define requirements and streamline processes.
  • Manage dependencies between projects and negotiate necessary trade-offs.
  • Participate in recruitment efforts and mentor team members to enhance their capabilities.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple competing projects across various organizational units.
  • Utilize data analysis tools to interpret and visualize project data effectively.
  • Drive automation and simplification initiatives to foster innovation.
  • Establish clear processes for large-scale projects.
  • Conduct meetings, maintain timelines, and keep diverse teams informed of progress and challenges.

Daily Activities:

Your day will involve coordinating with project teams to ensure that timelines are met, planning future initiatives, and driving stakeholder commitment. You will also review processes for improvement opportunities and implement initiatives to enhance team and organizational performance.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant IT discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management.
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Center and/or Network Deployment.
  • 5+ years of experience with Optical line systems or Backbone Network deployment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience managing complex technology infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with various project management methodologies.
  • Understanding of AWS network architecture.
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
