Seattle, Washington, United States Amazon Full time
About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to join our Cloud Infrastructure team at Amazon. As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading multiple simultaneous cloud infrastructure product development programs in a highly cross-functional environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage large, complex technology initiatives, delivering critical solutions, significant improvements, new mechanisms, or deprecating systems that are no longer needed.
  • Successfully manage all stages (from concept to delivery).
  • Understand the architecture of the systems you work with (e.g., workflows, APIs, runtime characteristics, design limitations, and maintenance requirements).
  • Influence team technical priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions.
  • Communicate ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences including Directors and VPs.
  • Foster a constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and lead the resolution of contentious issues (build consensus).
  • Partner successfully with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams.
  • Your program management practices set a great example to others.
  • Routinely and efficiently deliver the right things.
  • Define clear goals and objectives.
  • Drive crisp decisions in your program area about what projects move forward and in what priority order.
  • Proactively identify risks and bring them to the attention of your team and stakeholders with plans for mitigation before they become roadblocks.
  • You are a simplifier. You judiciously add, refine, and remove procedures.
  • By applying project management best practices, you increase the productivity and effectiveness of the teams you work with.
About the Team

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we are the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and we are looking for talented people who want to help. You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.

You will collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you will experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

About Amazon

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. We pioneered cloud computing and never stopped innovating - that's why customers from the most successful startups to Global 500 companies trust our robust suite of products and services to power their businesses.

We value diverse experiences. Even if you do not meet all of the preferred qualifications and skills listed in the job description, we encourage candidates to apply. If your career is just starting, has not followed a traditional path, or includes alternative experiences, do not let it stop you from applying.

We value work-life harmony. Achieving success at work should never come at the expense of sacrifices at home, which is why we strive for flexibility as part of our working culture. When we feel supported in the workplace and at home, there's nothing we cannot achieve in the cloud.
