About the Role:
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Program Manager to oversee the expansion of our data center infrastructure. As part of the AWS Infrastructure Services team, you will be instrumental in the design, planning, and execution of projects that support our global infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of regional data center build projects from conception through to deployment.
- Utilize your strong communication skills to facilitate discussions and troubleshoot implementation challenges.
- Manage remote project delivery teams, ensuring effective collaboration across various time zones.
- Oversee capital budgets and eliminate non-value-added activities to enhance project efficiency.
- Employ a variety of project management methodologies and tools to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical experience.
- 6+ years of project management experience, with a focus on core disciplines such as scope, schedule, budget, and quality management.
- Proficiency in MS Project, MS Office, and MS SharePoint.
- Experience in managing data center infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with the following backgrounds will have a distinct advantage:
- Advanced degrees or certifications in Project Management (PMP).
- Experience in construction management, electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering.
- A background in architecture/design, hardware/software engineering, or data center operations.
