Job Overview

801 Restaurants, a family-owned dining establishment with a strong presence in the Midwest, is seeking a dedicated professional to lead our front-of-house operations.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a motivated leader who is passionate about achieving excellence in the hospitality sector. This role involves overseeing all front-of-house activities at the designated location, ensuring alignment with the values and standards of 801 Restaurant Group.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage operational costs, inventory levels, staffing, sales performance, and workplace culture.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic and maintain a solid employment history.
  • Demonstrate polished appearance and effective communication skills with both staff and patrons.
  • Maintain a keen attention to detail in all aspects of service.
  • Possess Level 1 Wine Certification.
  • Embrace an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Show a commitment to outstanding service and unwavering quality standards.
  • Exhibit the drive and determination to achieve success.
  • Have a minimum of three years of experience in a high-volume, full-service dining environment.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and suppliers.
  • Understand front-of-house operations, including food and beverage management, inventory control, and staff supervision.
  • Experience in managing a beverage or wine program is advantageous.
  • Support both front-of-house and back-of-house staff, coordinating daily restaurant functions.
  • Experience in marketing, sales, or business development within the restaurant industry is a plus.
  • Demonstrate a desire for personal and professional growth.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in fast-paced situations.
  • Provide training to all staff members; uphold restaurant quality standards; assist in establishing and enforcing food and beverage specifications, portion control, recipes, and sanitation practices.
  • Maintain and enhance controllable costs while maximizing guest satisfaction.
  • Availability for flexible scheduling, including weekends and evenings.
  • Familiarity with R365 or similar online inventory and cost management systems, as well as proficiency in Excel and Micros, is preferred.
  • Candidates should possess a strong sense of hospitality, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Must be available to work seven days a week.
