Position Summary:

We are currently in search of a Material Planner to join our cross-functional team. This role will be based on-site and will involve occasional travel as necessary. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our material planning processes are efficient and effective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and integrate material needs across various departments, including finance, engineering, supply chain, procurement, and quality assurance.
  • Monitor and track material schedules to identify and resolve any conflicts affecting project timelines.
  • Provide insights to program managers regarding project schedules, emphasizing material availability and deadlines.
  • Oversee forecasting, management, and control of all procurement activities to support project execution, balancing multiple priorities against tight deadlines.
  • Assist project managers in ensuring vendor deliverables meet procurement requirements and are timely.
  • Process and manage material transfers and issues as required.
  • Generate and execute material shipping requests as necessary.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, project managers, supply chain, quality assurance, procurement, and production teams to foster collaboration.
  • Support emergency parts requests as needed.
  • Collaborate with receiving inspection teams to process parts efficiently.

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
  • Ability to obtain a TOP SECRET security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, production, or materials planning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • TOP SECRET/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5 years of experience in a related environment.
