The Molding Technical Manager will be tasked with overseeing the complete molding operations, ensuring effective supervision, coordination, coaching, and leadership for the assigned team. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of excellence within the operations team, dedicated to producing components that align with customer specifications while maintaining cost efficiency and a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Direct and prioritize molding activities, mold upkeep, automation, auxiliary machinery, and workforce management. Ensure seamless communication across shifts to meet customer demands and departmental objectives.
- Establish and execute a continuous development plan for team members, promoting a culture of improvement and a commitment to a 'zero defect' philosophy.
- Review and enhance departmental documentation, providing training on new or revised processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with planning teams to fulfill all internal and external customer requirements.
- Oversee operational hours, labor utilization, inventory levels, and supply management to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Analyze standard variances and propose corrective actions as necessary.
- Manage departmental documentation and participate in problem-solving teams.
- Engage in new program development and quoting processes.
- Participate in internal and external audits related to quality standards.
- Advocate for cleanliness and safety protocols throughout the organization.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies relevant to the company’s mission and objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field in Plastics.
