Job Summary

The Field Service Engineer is a critical role at Bolt Medical, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our medical devices at customer sites. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair medical devices at customer locations, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Provide exceptional technical support to customers, including troubleshooting, training, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery, including manufacturing, engineering, and clinical support.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of service activities, including inventory management and quality control.
  • Travel extensively (up to 75%) to customer sites, including weekends, to provide on-site support and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in medical device field service, with a proven track record of success in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with medical professionals and internal teams.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull equipment up to 50lbs, with occasional heavier equipment assistance.
  • International travel experience, with a valid passport and vaccination records.
