Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Natural Gas Field Service Technician to join our team at Pipeline Equipment Resources Company (PERC). As a key member of our field service team, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining our products, which include natural gas measurement, flow control, and odorization systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation of new odorization systems and measurement, flow control, and heat-related products.
  • Respond to customer requests for service and repair, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.
  • Perform annual maintenance of products, including start-up and commissioning of new equipment.
  • De-commission and remediate equipment removed from service, ensuring safe and environmentally responsible practices.
  • Assist in pipeline conditioning projects, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Fabricate equipment prior to installation, utilizing mechanical and technical skills.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Basic project management, including coordination with internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Cross-training to enhance technical expertise and adaptability.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a technical capacity, preferably in the energy field.
  • Strong mechanical, technical, and electronic aptitude, with commercial HVAC experience a plus.
  • Efficient analytical skills, with the ability to use various devices, programs, and applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to professionally communicate with customers and complete detailed field service reports.
  • Independent and self-motivated, with the ability to work in adverse weather conditions and lift 70 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to drive a commercial heavy-duty pickup truck with trailer in all weather conditions.
  • Must be available for extensive travel and able to travel and be away overnight with short notice.
  • Must be able to pass DOT qualifications and guidelines, as well as pre-employment and random drug screening.
  • Must be able to pass operator qualification exams for tasks performed and general mechanical knowledge tests.
