For the GS-13 level, applicants should possess a minimum of one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-12 level, which includes:

- Establishing and managing automated financial accounting and reporting systems.
- Providing guidance to financial managers and accountants on financial matters, offering alternative solutions.
Your responses to the online assessment will be utilized to assess your proficiency in the following areas:
- Understanding of accounting principles, procedures, and standards.
- Ability to compose reports on financial management and accounting issues.
- Skill in analyzing financial data to derive insights.
- Proficiency in utilizing both automated and manual accounting systems.
- Effective oral communication skills to present financial recommendations to senior management.
Experience:
Experience can include both paid and unpaid roles, including volunteer work through National Service programs and other organizations. Volunteer experience is valuable and contributes to building essential skills and competencies that are applicable to paid positions.
All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, will be credited.
