Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at ProMedica Bay Park Hospital. As a key member of our patient-centric care delivery model, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality service and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain departmental equipment and facilities in a clean, orderly condition and in compliance with infection control guidelines.
  • Provide excellent patient service by documenting information accurately, promptly, and legibly in order to meet regulatory or medical record requirements.
  • Utilize medical charts, forms, practice management systems, and all forms of electronic communication efficiently.
  • Provide for a safe patient experience through adherence to clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, manufacturer standards, and report any potential equipment malfunctions or safety violations.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies under the direction of clinical staff.
  • Demonstrate proficiency and skill in EKGs and other activities as directed by a licensed respiratory therapist or radiology technologist.
  • Transportation of patients.
  • Maintain clean and stocked exams or store rooms.
  • Assist clinical staff in procedures and tasks as directed.
  • Promote a strong commitment towards achieving outstanding internal and external customer satisfaction and superior patient experience.
Requirements
  • Enrollment in an accredited respiratory or radiology program approved healthcare pre-licensure program.
  • Basic Life Support completed within the orientation period.
