Client Support Specialist

Status: Permanent full-time

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Mandatory Requirement: All employees of Lifemark Health Group must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Full vaccination is defined as occurring 14 days after the second dose of a Health Canada approved vaccine.

As a Client Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional administrative assistance to patients, colleagues, and stakeholders, in alignment with Lifemark's dedication to patient-centered care. Your primary responsibility will be to cultivate a strong connection between the clinic and its clientele, which includes patients, staff, funders, and referral sources. This will be accomplished by efficiently providing administrative support and coordinating clinic activities with a friendly, enthusiastic, and professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver optimal patient care through friendly and professional interactions with patients and team members.
  • Manage incoming calls, warmly greet patients and visitors, and provide exemplary customer service for inquiries or concerns.
  • Facilitate a thorough and accurate intake of information during patients' initial visits.
  • Register new patients according to clinic standards and assist them in completing medical forms to ensure accuracy.
  • Utilize electronic medical records to coordinate and schedule future appointments with various providers as directed.
  • Enhance patient care by recommending additional services or products that align with patients' best interests.
  • Process payments at the time of service and follow up on outstanding accounts.
  • Ensure accurate clinic billing and manage accounts receivable as necessary.
  • Generate precise end-of-day reports.
  • Collaborate with clients to establish and achieve functional goals.
  • Collect outcome measure data.
  • Maintain and sterilize medical equipment.
  • Manage inventory of clinical supplies.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as requested by the clinic director.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with patients and staff.
  • Strong judgment, resourcefulness, and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to investigate, comprehend, and resolve issues related to billing, collections, and various funding sources.
  • Ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Adaptability to changes in clinic operations, with a commitment to continuous learning and improved patient care.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Experience in booking and billing for various patient types is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in a medical office setting is considered an asset.
