Job Title: Program Facilitator

Goodwill Industries Of Dallas Inc is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Facilitator to join our team. As a Program Facilitator, you will be responsible for providing job readiness and life skills training to trainees enrolled in Career Services programs in a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of employer requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality policy and procedures at all times.
  • Teach life and work skills to trainees receiving vocational services.
  • Acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of resources available in the community.
  • Network with businesses, agencies, and the Career Centers for speakers, in-kind services, mock interviews, and other needs.
  • Teach required material to trainees on how to find and retain employment.
  • Serve as an advocate for individuals with felonies, economic disadvantages, and disabilities.
  • Ensure trainees are connected to area workforce development systems for employment opportunities.
  • Work closely with Case Managers and other Goodwill staff to identify client barriers and issues that need to be addressed.
  • Participate in deciding if the client should continue to the next step in programming or remain in class to overcome any issues or barriers to employment.
  • Provide necessary documentation to communicate trainee's progress in the program.
  • Ensure clients have filled out documentation needed to begin Job Search.
  • Participate in inter- and intra-departmental meetings as scheduled.
  • Ensure Workshop Exit Evaluations are completed and given to Quality Assurance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or Social Service preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of college and related work experience is required.
  • Ability to motivate others and understand the needs of people with barriers to employment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Ability to relate to individuals coming from a variety of economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Must have ability to teach a diverse group of people.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Work Environment:

The Program Facilitator will work in an office environment and a classroom setting.
