Position Summary: We are currently seeking a Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will involve collaborating with our esteemed Design-Build team to assist in the development of designs, estimates, and the overall construction of food manufacturing facilities across the nation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with clients, architects, internal engineers, and other professionals throughout the design process.
  • Ensure the appropriate selection of construction materials and conduct comprehensive reviews of subcontractor/vendor shop drawings to align with design specifications.
  • Perform both conceptual and detailed take-offs of architectural, civil, and structural components for project budgeting.
  • Support management in identifying, prequalifying, and bidding for architectural, civil, and structural scopes of work.
  • Provide technical guidance to team members within the Design-Build group.
  • Assist project management in securing local planning and building regulation approvals.
  • Monitor and inspect subcontractor work, focusing on architectural aspects of construction.
  • Undertake additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design or civil engineering is essential.
  • Experience in designing and constructing food manufacturing and refrigerated buildings is preferred.
  • Possession of an Architect's license in Indiana is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel for work is necessary.
  • Advanced understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations is required.
  • Ability to compile bid set (RFP) drawing packages is essential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with clients on remote sites are important.
