Job Summary: We are currently seeking a Civil Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate with our esteemed Design-Build team to assist in the development of designs, cost estimates, and the overall construction of comprehensive food manufacturing facilities across the nation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with clients, architects, and internal engineers to refine construction plans and specifications during both conceptual and final design phases.
  • Ensure the integration of suitable construction materials into designs and conduct meticulous reviews of subcontractor/vendor shop drawings to confirm adherence to design intent.
  • Perform both conceptual and detailed take-offs of architectural, civil, and structural components to inform the overall project budget or Guaranteed Maximum Price.
  • Support management in the identification, prequalification, and bidding processes for architectural, civil, and structural scopes of work.
  • Provide technical guidance to team members on the Design-Build team.
  • Assist project management in securing local planning and building regulations approvals.
  • Oversee and inspect work conducted by subcontractors and our own trades, focusing on architectural aspects of construction.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design or civil engineering (required).
  • Proven experience in the design and construction of food manufacturing and refrigerated buildings.
  • Architect's license in the relevant state.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Ability to prepare bid set (RFP) drawing packages.
  • Proficient in collaborating with professionals from various disciplines.
  • Experience in subcontractor management.
  • Background in project management.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients on remote sites.
