R&DE is the largest auxiliary organization at Stanford, providing high-quality services to students and university community members. With an annual operating budget exceeding $350M and a 7-million-square-foot physical plant across campus, R&DE oversees various divisions, including Student Housing Operations, Stanford Dining, Stanford Hospitality & Auxiliaries, and more.

The ideal candidate will possess two years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking, or equivalent education and relevant experience. They must have excellent communication skills, be able to understand and follow safety guidelines, and work effectively with customers.

This role involves preparing hot and cold food according to recipes, testing food items for proper texture and temperature, and ensuring cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas. The successful candidate will also adhere to food and safety handling policies, health standards, and applicable uniform guidelines.

Stanford offers a comprehensive compensation package, including an estimated hourly rate of $26.39 (Step 1). This position requires incumbents to report to work onsite, with no telecommuting available.
