Inventory Control Specialist

Job Overview:
The Cycle Counter is responsible for executing inventory management tasks to maintain optimal stock levels. This role involves conducting daily cycle counts, performing root cause analysis, and recommending corrective measures as necessary. The Cycle Counter will address discrepancies in inventory and inform the Supervisor of any irregularities. Additionally, the position requires the preparation and submission of inventory control reports and responding to product and inventory inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily cycle counts of raw materials, packaging, finished goods, and non-conforming items.
- Utilize E10 software for processing cycle counts and reviewing inventory data.
- Ensure accurate placement of materials and conduct searches for misclassified inventory.
- Open containers to count items or weigh materials for accurate inventory assessment.
- Document and label remaining product quantities.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory levels and damaged goods to management.
- Publish inventory metrics on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Communicate and propose process improvements to mitigate inventory discrepancies.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and regulations.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience in inventory control, cycle counting, and order picking.
- Familiarity with Epicor software is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in using computers and Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative team player.
Skills and Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal communication abilities.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented.
- Forklift certification is required.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations for weight assessments.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of Epicor is a plus.
- Forklift certified or willing to obtain certification.
Education:
A High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate's Degree is preferred.
